Category: Statistic Reduction
Type: Activated

  • This ability can only be used ONCE. (Use a counter to represent it, if need be).
  • If this Monster uses its ability, somehow leaves play, then re-enters play, its ability can be used again.
  • This ability specifically reduce the ATTACK STRENGTH of the Monster that is attacking it to 0 (unlike [Waboku], which only reduces Battle Damage).
--- If this Monster is in attack mode, and uses this ability on the Monster attacking it, the attacking Monster will be destroyed, and damage done to your opponent equal to this Monster's attack strength.
--- If this Monster is in defense mode, and uses this ability on the Monster attacking it, the attacking Monster will survive, and damage done to your opponent equal to this Monster's defense strength.
  • This reduction only lasts until the end of the Battle Phase.
  • [Reverse Trap] will not work on a Monster affected with this ability, since this ability SETS the Monster's attack strength to 0; it actually doesn't give the Monster a modifier.

  • Can only be summoned by Tributing a [Petite Moth] that has had a [Cocoon of Evolution] Equipped on it for two turns.

Category: Power Up
Type: Continuous

Legendary Fisherman, The [ j. Legendary Fisherman ]
Category: ????
Type: ????

  • If the [Umi] card is on the Field (either yours or your opponent's) and this card is FACE-UP, this card cannot be AFFECTED by Magic. (EDO'S NOTE: This is similar to how people thought Lord of D. originally worked). For example, if the [Umi] card is on the Field, and...
    • ...your opponent plays a [Raigeki], this card will not be destroyed (but your other Monsters will, if you have any).
    • ...your opponent plays a [Dark Hole], this card will not be destroyed. You can even play [Dark Hole], and your own [Legendary Fisherman] won't be destroyed!
    • ...your opponent has a [Swords of Revealing Light] out, this card CAN attack.
  • Basically, if a card would directly affect this card, this card ignores that portion of the effect.
  • If the [Umi] card is on the Field (either yours or your opponent's) and this card is FACE-UP, this card cannot be ATTACKED by your opponent. This does NOT mean that this card can attack your opponent directly.

  • Can only have one Monster absorbed at a time. If there is a Monster that is already absorbed, another one cannot be absorbed until the previous one is removed.

  • The absorbed Monster is treated as an Equipment Magic card, so cards that destroy Magic can be used on it (i.e. [De-Spell], [Heavy Storm], [Mystical Space Typhoon], etc.).
  • If [Relinquished] has an absorbed Monster, and it would be destroyed in an attack, destroy the absorbed Monster instead of destroying [Relinquished].
